In a recent tweet by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) facilitates residents to block SIM Card or Mobile Number of UAE provided by Du or Etisalat Telecom companies, in case they lose their mobile phone while traveling abroad.
The TRA then can block the user’s SIM card in order to prevent it from being used maliciously.
It is still unclear whether the newly launched mobile company Virgin Mobile – UAE – users can avail services alike from TRA – UAE.
Separate numbers are stated for the blocking services for individuals, entities and for individuals.
