FEWA Allocates AED 2.8 Billion For 35 Water Projects In The Northern Regions

In implementation to the directives of H.H. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of UAE, May Allah preserve him, Mohammed Mohammed Saleh, Director General of the Federal Electricity and Water Authority revealed the allocation of AED 2.8 billion to implement 35 water projects in the northern regions.He explained that FEWA aims to complete 7 water projects during this year, at a value of AED 304 million, in addition to 28 projects that will be completed within the coming years, at an estimated cost of AED 2.56 billion, in all areas of Umm Al Quwain, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah.He emphasized that FEWA adopts sustainable development projects to achieve the goals of “UAE Centennial 2071” and charts the path towards the future Emirates and Emirates Vision to make the country one of the best countries in the world by 2021. He stressed the importance of preserving water and reducing its consumption to ensure the sustainability of its availability for future generations.
